Some people…

we all see it everyday, people taking art that doesn’t belong to them and posting it on a blog or using it as a picture on a website, but hey when it happens to us…Maisto, we don’t like it and we don’t take it lightly. Especially when they blatantly use the exact same artwork, with a minor, very minor change.

this work was created by me for the front of a Maisto Outlaws t-shirt, you’ll see the original artwork first, then the fake/copy version after sporting some new verbage about “staying true”. how does one “stay true”, when you steal someone else’s artwork? a question for you all to ponder. down with the fakes!!!!

I would post the link to their page, but i don’t want to give them any kind of recognition or spike in traffic. if you want to look it up, just google it. don’t mess with the bull buddy…

HK GRAB BAG       50 Mercury

So every week we are hard at work to bring you the best models, the best designs, and overall the coolest stuff for you to collect, play with, roll across the kitchen floor, adorn that awesome cubicle of yours, or even sit on your fancy executive desk. But there is a couple of times a week that we get very excited about, and that is when we get a killer “grab bag” (well ok, it’s not really a bag, it’s more like a box, but you get the picture) from HK. When this box comes in we are like kids in a candy store, or sometimes like cavemen around their first glimpse of fire, it gets pretty exciting some times. This week we got the first samples of the ’50 Merc, yes this is the same ’50 Merc designed by our friends at “Cacho Customs!” These are just a few colorways. Keep your eyes peeled for this one!

So everyone has been wondering why they could find chase cars of the 29 Ford Model A, but couldn’t find the second deco for the darn thing. Well low and behold, we are at last going to identify the “Lost Outlaw”! It seems the AllStars Outlaws release was a somewhat small one. So the second deco never made it to store shelves or online retailers. Here it is in all it’s glory! Tell ’em where you saw it first!
