Need For Speed Undercover – Two More Titles Uncovered!

NFS Undercover die-cast is moving fast, and we have 2 more models to share with you. This brings us up to a total of 7 of the the 1:64 titles we are releasing in this category.

The first is the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 – this Viper is a first for us in a custom shop quality 1/64. The design looks mean – and that’s a good thing:

Next up – Lexus. We were thrilled to find the brand new 2008 IS F in the NFS line-up, and the designs and tool look awesome. We will have 2 versions of the IS F – here are both of them:

That’s it for now on the NFS front – more title coming soon…

The Nissan GT-R still on track…

we just got in some more samples of the much anticipated Nissan GT-R. the first one is small in stature but huge in anticipation –  it is the unveiling of our 1:64 Nissan GT-R Police version from our Need For Speed Undercover line. this baby is due out in early spring, 2009.

why don’t they make cop cars like these? don’t you think we would obey the law just a little more if we knew the authority figure behind us could do 193 mph and packed 480 hp.

on a more “realistic” note, we have 2 stock 1:43 scale samples from the Bburago line – red and white. these are not fully approved yet, but we’ll share just a taste of them with you anyway. enjoy!

Need For Speed Undercover 1:64 Porsche 911 GT2: OMG!

when we started the nfs undercover project, we were excited for several reasons – EA and their huge legions of fans, new tools that we for sure were going to have to build, and the ability to offer some customized titles for the first time ever. such was the case with the porsche 911 gt2, the hero car for nfs undercover.

porsche generally does not allow licensees to customize their vehicles. they like ’em pure. and porsches are cool, for sure, but drop ’em a little and put the right rims on ’em and bam. we knew that a car such as this would draw all sorts of fans: porsche fans. need for speed fans. 1:64 fans.

i think i have mentioned this before – i am not a collector. kind of a waste for my job, i know. i have access to all sorts of cool stuff. one offs. hand painted projects. failed projects. all sorts of things the collectors would love to get their hands on. it’s just not part of my nature.

this car could change my mind. in fact, it has. i am in love. lust. passion. obsession. i am dreaming big. it’s all wrapped up in this one little 1:64 porsche 911 gt2. i have stared at this gif for about a half hour. i guess it’s time to post it so the rest of you can enjoy MY baby. i’ll share. for now.

NFS Undercover – Uncovered!

EA has officially dropped their highly anticipated new installment of the need for speed franchise – nfs undercover. some collectors have already caught a glimpse of our products in the walmart stores, but we have been limited by what we could show on-line, until now. since the game is out, we are going to uncover some of what we have in the marketplace now, and a little of what is coming.

remember, our nfs undercover comes with a code which, when entered into a real nfs undercover game (ps3, xbox 360, computer platforms) unlocks a special vehicle which looks suprisingly like the die-cast you just purchased.

also remember, our nfs undercover line is the only way you can get some of these models customized at all. porsche does not allow it. audi does not allow it. nissan, especially with their gtr, does not allow it. but ea has some strong pull, and we’ve got it for this line! each vehicle comes emblazoned with the NFS logo on the rear of the roof, and needforspeed subtly scrolled across the rear window.

1:64 wave 1 will ultimately have 6 vehicles. 4 of them are ready now (shown below), and 2 more are following shortly.

1969 dodge charger r/t

2006 chevrolet camaro concept

1965 pontiac gto

and because it is almost all mustang, all day today, the 2006 mustang gt

the 2 that are “coming soon”: the 2006 lamborghini murcielago lp640 and the 2008 porsche 911 gt2.
