Tis the season, isn’t it? One more time, just for fun, it is the Street Troopers commercial. Project 66 and PT 808 are still available at many fine retailers.
These two bad a** PT-808′s arrived today, and they are awesome! I especially like the blue one! These two decos and packaging were made exclusively for QVC. The packaging was reduced to save space, so in this version PT-808 is in vehicle form, but he still transforms into Robot Attack Mode to open a can of Whoop A**!!!
and you know it wouldn’t be a Street Troopers post with out a link to our AWESOME STREET TROOPERS COMMERCIAL! (insert corny link segue here)
denizens of the world – relax. everyone just take a chill pill, it’s all good. that’s because the latest threat to mankind has now met it’s match, now that street troopers pt-808 is in production and soon to be in stock in the friendly confines of maisto international’s warehouse in fontana ca. we’ve got the latest photos for you of pt-808 at rest…
and in attack mode,
in both of the initial colors.
for those that might have missed it, here is our commercial spot for both project 66 and pt-808.
radio controlled transforming vehicles that fire projectiles. rejoice!
so we came back from the Memorial Day weekend and low and behold several boxes for us to go through. awww yeah! everyone got excited to peep what kind of freshness awaits us this week. let’s take a peek! looks like the Street Troopers are out in force!
boxes and boxes of Street Troopers…ready to rid the streets of some SCUM!
here’s a closer look at PT-808, this bad boy transforms from vehicle to robot attack mode at the push of a button! he’s kind of cute…in a deadly, killer robot, kind of way!
here we have b-rad going through the boxes trying to find something dope and dimex telling him to get his hands off his booty! (booty in a pirate treasure kind of way.) b-rad is carrying a crapload of different 1:24 scale color schemes for the HUMMER® HX™. who’s that thug in the background? who let him in the design department?
oh yeah that’s ralph, and he’s found a special package of 1:64 scale AllStars Red.
b-rad faints cause he’s been waiting for something good. see how happy we get when the good stuff comes in? ok maybe he’s overreacting a little.
ooooooohhhh!!! colorful, plastic wrappped, die-cast metal goodness!
“whoop, whoop!!! that’s the sound of da police!”
it’s possible you may have found these already on the pegs and it’s also possible these are totally brand new to you, so keep your eyes peeled. sometimes we don’t know until we find ‘em ourselves!
Ok, so it’s Wednesday morning and I was running late for work because I had to meet with an electrician at my house, but that’s another story, and I hop on the freeway or should I say noway, as in there’s no way you’re going to get to work in a half an hour like usual. It’s foggy and it’s bumper to bumper traffic, that looks like it’s going nowhere! Excuse the bug remains please and give them a moment of silence…
and as I’m sitting there listening to the radio they’re telling me traffic is at a stand still because there are several lane closures because some people don’t know that you should drive slower in the FOG!!! I look out my window and what would usually be a view of the mountains and rolling hills, and the northbound lanes of the freeway are mysteriously BLOCKED by a thick white wall of FOG. Needless to say there were several multi-car pile ups. GO FIGURE.
I’m glad I was running late or I would have been in the middle of this FOGGY FIASCO.
So off to brighter news, Dimex received an HK package again, WOOHOO!!! We are on a roll this week. I guess that makes up for the lack of posts yesterday. This is a killer one, it’s the STREET TROOPERS PROJECT:66 “TARGET EXCLUSIVE”. That’s right, this particular deco can only be found at TARGET stores later this summer. HAPPY HUNTING!
Oh yeah, occasionally we’ll get asked by HK to supply some visuals for an instruction sheet or packaging and what not. This one is especially funny because it was so last minute, that we just took a quick pic of, well, we’ll just call him “DESIGNER X”, and used him for the illustration reference. Do you know who it is? Send us your comments! Have a great week!
just a quickie for this sunday afternoon. check out the covers of 2 of the leading toy industry mags in the world – Toy Book in the US and Das Spielzeug in Germany. both mags’ covers featuring Street Troopers. also we’ve included the inside cover of toy book, which is the latest images of our HUMMER products. enjoy…
