On The Road in Hong Kong
i promise this is the last of the pics i have from my trip to hong kong. and it is of an item we are not even making.
yes, we are producing a 1:10 R/C Audi R8, and it looks sweeeeet. but then walking around the cubies in hong kong, i spotted this version. apparently they had someone try this out to see what it would look like – the look is unreal, but so is the cost, unfortunately. so no go, but a few fotos for your viewing pleasure.
I got nothin… (Freeway Fotos)
So sometimes it happens, we get busy, workin the day away, and then BOOM, it hits us….we haven’t posted yet today! What do we post? We have so much new product coming out, but can’t show it all just yet! We are kickin butt here, preparing for Fall Toy Preview in Dallas right now, so things are kind of crazy. We’re working on our catalog and banging out the rest of 2010/2011 product. So when we’re crunched for time, we rely on our good ol’ standby, “Freeway Fotos”.
But wait, what about all this new product? Like I said, there is stuff going on, that I just can’t talk about yet…so here’s a tease. I know… brutal.
Break Time Maisto Monster Drift R/C Battle
Not gonna lie working for a die cast company is pretty fun. Today we had a random attempt at a tandem battle with the Maisto Monster Drift R/C. B-Rad and myself loaded up some batteries and smashed the controllers. Not much tandem action, but still fun for sure. And with Formula Drift season ending next month, these R/C cars will have to hold me over till next year.
The Monster Drift R/C are available at a store near you.
Ferrari Race & Play R/C Racers
Our brother from another mother Bburago has been kicking it up a notch with some bitchin new Ferrari product if you haven’t noticed. Bburago is coming out swinging (or cruisin) with the new Ferrari Race & Play R/C Racers with wrist controller. This thing is so cool! Since they’ve come in we haven’t stopped playing with them in the CAPD office. (Oh crap, I forgot the bosses read this blog) I mean… we tested them to ensure quality control, while still focusing on productivity, yadda, yadda, yadda. =)
Anyhow here is a quick video of said awesome wrist controlled R/C. Now understand Jon and I had to shoot this very quickly and I took a few moments to edit it, pick some music (that I will probably have to hear about from El Señor on Monday), and post it up on the blog! Friday’s blog post DONE! NEXT!!!!!!!!
Mustang With a Vengeance
i know, i know. i said 1 post a day, and for 3 days we kept to it. but about 10 minutes ago i got this video from ford, Mustang With a Vengeance. it was made by the folks at the ford collection. let’s just say these guys got style, and there was no way i could hang on to it until my next blog day, which is saturday. nor was i going to share with castro for manana. big thanks to mark for sending it over to us, and huge thanks to the folks at the ford collection for making our children into stars – it just gets us all choked up….

R/C Drift cars — new 1:24 action
Ever wanted to drift your R/C? It’s tough unless it’s specially set up for it like the new Maisto Tech Monster Drift cars.
They will be appearing soon at Toys R Us in the special package shown below with the exclusive blue body color.
Shadow-2X R/C is 16″ of fun
Narrow like a bike, wide like a car — the Maisto Shadow-2X is the future. In the narrow mode, the 2X can drive through tight places a car could never go. Press the Morph button on the remote and watch the 2X expand to full width as a red strobe on top flashes during the transition. Then the Cyclops headlight on the front glows red and the 2X is ready for more action with the increased stability of the wide-track wheels. For maximum maneuverability it can spin 360 degrees then zoom off in any direction. It’s available in four colors: yellow, green, red and silver. Stock #81125.
