Good Night!
Today is a day of transition friends. We have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you something new, something fresh and amazing. This blog is going to sleep, signing out for the weekend, we will be back on Monday with something NEW! Make sure to visit the main www.maisto.com page next week!
2011 Elite Transports “SNEAK PEEKS”
We received some images from our factory the other day regarding our 2011 1:64 Elite Transports. That’s right, twenty-eleven Elite Transports. So, until we get the official word from the licensees that they are approved and good to go – here are some sneak peeks. We’ll post full images soon.
Well thanks for looking and check back soon for the full image update.
Back In The Office
Jose and I just got back from setting up for Fall Toy Preview in Dallas TX. Had a great time and ate some of the best food ever. The following photos is all I am authorized to post up, everything else is top secret.
NASCAR Race Week
It’s race week here in Fontana, CA. Not sure if you were aware of this, but the Auto Club Speedway is just down the street from CAPD headquarters. It’s pretty awesome when there’s some racing or qualifying going on, we can hear it at our offices. Nothing like the smell of burning rubber in the air. I stopped by the Auto Club Speedway Administration office the other day and saw this awesome statue/plaque in their lobby. It was very nicely done!

Then I noticed the Woody looked very familiar. Yes it is… a 1:18 scale Maisto 1948 Chevrolet® Fleetmaster™ “Woody!”
this woody had a trailer with the famous Jimmie Johnson’s ride in tow.

Whenever race week comes around, I see so many NASCAR big rigs heading to the track on the freeway or side streets close to headquarters. So here is today’s Freeway Foto of Digger and his buddies shot on I-15. They were lookin right at me!
So I will be attending my very first ever NASCAR event this Sunday for the Pepsi Max 400! I’m looking forward to it.
Rock Crawler Contest
and so it begins. the greatest contest in the history of mankind. a contest so enormous in proportion it will make the world cup, the super bowl, the world series, the olympics (summer, not winter), and the pba world championship, if all rolled up into 1, look microscopic in comparison. maisto announces the first ever rock crawler contest.
it is a contest so simple, even i could win it. except i can’t, cuz i am an employee of the company, and the government frowns on that kind of stuff. besides, i can crawl rocks all on my own…
of course i think Rock Crawler would have beat my sorry a** up that mountain, and with less recharging breaks. and guess what, we don’t want to just give you as rock crawler, we are throwing in a AUDIOBAHN car audio system, and a years supply of ROCKY ROAD candy bars! Whoa – now I got your attention, didnt i?

I got nothin… (Freeway Fotos)
So sometimes it happens, we get busy, workin the day away, and then BOOM, it hits us….we haven’t posted yet today! What do we post? We have so much new product coming out, but can’t show it all just yet! We are kickin butt here, preparing for Fall Toy Preview in Dallas right now, so things are kind of crazy. We’re working on our catalog and banging out the rest of 2010/2011 product. So when we’re crunched for time, we rely on our good ol’ standby, “Freeway Fotos”.
But wait, what about all this new product? Like I said, there is stuff going on, that I just can’t talk about yet…so here’s a tease. I know… brutal.
We got ourselves a CONVOY
Well, since RHB is gone…jet setting around the globe, kissing babies, shaking hands and the like, guess that means I should throw a blog up.
So my contribution this week will be the introduction of the last of the 2010 Target Allstar RED Transporters. These little hotties should already be in your local Target stores, if they aren’t, they will be soon so keep an eye out.
We have chosen 2 automotive icons to close out the 2010 season, the race themed 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and cloaked in fire gear, the 2010 Ford Mustang GT.
Here’s a quiz for ‘ya, who can identify the history behind the fire theme? Sorry, no prize for this one, you’ll just be a little wiser.
Enjoy!
And for your viewing pleasure, here are the other 6 that complete this years release.
So there you have it, the 2010 Allstars Target RED Transporters.
