and so it begins. the greatest contest in the history of mankind. a contest so enormous in proportion it will make the world cup, the super bowl, the world series, the olympics (summer, not winter), and the pba world championship, if all rolled up into 1, look microscopic in comparison. maisto announces the first ever rock crawler contest.
it is a contest so simple, even i could win it. except i can’t, cuz i am an employee of the company, and the government frowns on that kind of stuff. besides, i can crawl rocks all on my own…

On The Road in Hong Kong
i promise this is the last of the pics i have from my trip to hong kong. and it is of an item we are not even making.
yes, we are producing a 1:10 R/C Audi R8, and it looks sweeeeet. but then walking around the cubies in hong kong, i spotted this version. apparently they had someone try this out to see what it would look like – the look is unreal, but so is the cost, unfortunately. so no go, but a few fotos for your viewing pleasure.
Break Time Maisto Monster Drift R/C Battle
Not gonna lie working for a die cast company is pretty fun. Today we had a random attempt at a tandem battle with the Maisto Monster Drift R/C. B-Rad and myself loaded up some batteries and smashed the controllers. Not much tandem action, but still fun for sure. And with Formula Drift season ending next month, these R/C cars will have to hold me over till next year.

ROCK CRAWLER FROM MAISTO TECH PREPARE FOR HOLIDAY ASCENT
Fontana, CA. (July, 2010)
Maisto International, a worldwide leader in vehicle replicas in the toy and hobby industries, announced the initial shipments of ROCK CRAWLER, the latest title from their Maisto Tech line of radio controlled toys.
Rock Crawler features a sleek off-road body sitting on top of a massive chassis with enormous, rugged deep tread off road tires. Articulated front and rear axles keep the tires in contact with all sorts of rough terrain, even while climbing seemingly impossible ascents. The coil springs at each wheel assist in the shock absorption. The vehicle is powered by three different motors and also features tri-channel support, so three vehicles can be operated in the same area at the same time.

On the Road Again, Back in the Czech Republic
our favorite distributor from the czech republic, pama, is back at it, doing the promotion thing right and making kids happy all in the name of maisto and bburago. how does he do it? let’s walk you through it…
first, when people are driving up to the mall, they have to have something visual for what they will be in store for. cue up the vans with maisto and bburago billboads on them – check.

Mustang With a Vengeance
i know, i know. i said 1 post a day, and for 3 days we kept to it. but about 10 minutes ago i got this video from ford, Mustang With a Vengeance. it was made by the folks at the ford collection. let’s just say these guys got style, and there was no way i could hang on to it until my next blog day, which is saturday. nor was i going to share with castro for manana. big thanks to mark for sending it over to us, and huge thanks to the folks at the ford collection for making our children into stars – it just gets us all choked up….
Maisto On The Road – Next Stop: Brno, Czech Republic
Yeap – I had to google it too. But Brno is the right spelling, and a shopping mall there was the sight of an event held by our distributor there, Pama. Maisto Tech Radio Control was the featured category, and by the look of these kids, Pavel made a good choice. Thanks for the pix Pavel and Jenny!
