AllStars Release 9.1

bRAD took a trip down to the warehouse the other day to see if there were any new items ready for shipping…and low and behold he comes back with AllStars release 9.1 “Rescue Force” and 9.2 “Outlaws”. When he brought these upstairs to the design department most of us about crapped our pants, myself included! They look really good, and I mean REALLY GOOD! Just the right amount of tampos and beautiful packaging. What else could you ask for?

NEW shipment TARGET 100 sighted!!

Maisto is doing a special release of 100 die cast vehicles exclusive to the TARGET store chain. We just received the newest batch of the “Allstars RED 100 Exclusive” vehicles.

Now in the automotive world, when you think of the word Hot Rod or Rat Rod, one of the vehicles that first comes to mind, well in the top 10 anyway, is the very popular and very desirable 1929 Ford. We decided to choose this model as one of the 5 CHASE, or limited number released, vehicles in this lineup. For this Target department store program, all of the limited number vehicles are done up in the color red. That would be a red body color, red tires, red wheels, red interior and windows. 2 of those are shown here, the ’29 Ford and the VW Squareback. If you are a collecting this line, and paying close attention, you’ll know that the RED VW Squareback makes a total of 6 CHASE cars!

So without further ado…here are 5 of the 12 just released.

Just FYI. There is one exception to the RED colored CHASE vehicles…there is a 1950 custom Merc that has 2 CHASE colors. One is the all red version and the other is satin silver body color with all other pieces red.

A Quickie – 57 Chevy On It’s Way

we got the first images of the 57 Chevy Bel Air in last week – just a couple of quickies to whet the appetite. these are from the 1:64 Pro Rodz series…

we actually received samples of about 4 more versions, but someone (DIMEX?) didn’t take the fotos he was supposed to, so we can’t share. if anyone has a gripe about it, direct it to DIMEX. thank you, and enjoy the above…

HAULIN A**!

A nice little package got delivered to the Maisto office in Fontana yesterday! B-rad about flipped when he got the packing slip and read what was inside. RHB showed you a little taste of this on his The Evolution of Towing post. This one really came out bada**! Sure there are other COE’s out there, but this one is ours, and it holds it’s own up against those other guys! See for yourself!

Sneaky Peaky… ’55 Buick Century

We recently got a shipment of production 1/64 ’55 Buick Century’s that looked extremely awesome! There were several paint schemes that would make any grown man drool with envy. As you all know (and if you didn’t now you do), I’m a nut for classic cars and hot rods. Anything vintage and it makes me feel right at home for some reason and I’m not even from that era. I guess it was the way I was raised. Anyways, here are 3 sneaky peaky photos of the ’55 Buick Century. I’m in love with this car! I’ll share more photos later!
